Jozef Bury “Peindre encore”
The exhibition presents the paintings of Jozef Bury. In his abstract artworks, the artist puts the accent on the temporality of the pictorial act than on its sensualist, even mystical effects. The successive layers here are visible thanks to the transparency of the glazes allowing us to see through many layers. The time of the artist creating the painting corresponds to the spectator’s time of absorption, an almost physical experience given the format of the paintings, square and human-sized.
