Hanna Zawa-Cywinska
Hanna Zawa-Cywinska (real name Hanna Zawistowska-Cywinska) is a Polish artist, born in 1939 in Lomza, Poland. She studied journalism at the University of Warsaw (diploma in 1965). Between 1967 and 1994 she lived in the United States. In 1981 she graduated from the State University of New York in printmaking and advertising. In 1994 she moved to Switzerland, where she lived for the next 10 years and was an active member of Visual Arts Association-Switzerland-VISARTE. Since 2004 she lives in Warsaw, Poland. She is a member of the International Association of Art (UNESCO).
She participated in more than 150 group exhibitions around the world and she has had a number of solo exhibitions in the USA, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Poland. She makes paintings, prints, and sculptures. Her works are part of many private and public collections in the USA, Poland, and Germany.
