ça roule ! Adam Kozik & Artur Majka
ça roule ! is an exhibition that puts the spotlight on the theme that fascinates more and more people, professionals, and amateurs: the bicycle.
The idea of the exhibition was born from the observation that the artists themselves are sometimes passionate about cycling and do not hesitate to represent this theme in their works. Moreover, cycling, whether as an ecological means of communication or as a hobby, is gaining more and more popularity. Therefore, combining cycling and painting is a great way to get people interested in art. This allows art to come out of the white walls of a gallery or museum and meet sometimes unexpected audiences. Especially since ça roule ! is an outdoor exhibition, with artworks shown where the cyclists circulate, which allows a real communion between the works and what they represent. Venue and theme play their essential roles here, together creating a unique and authentic experience for spectators, some of whom may be passionate about cycling but not necessarily about art, while others may be passionate about art but will be able to see cycling differently.
